My eldest boy (5 years old) has all the Pabo Romans and Gauls but the Gauls always seem to win when he plays with them! every now and them the Gauls change sides and become Auxiliaries (I've tried telling him they should be Numinarii but will he listen) and they both then go and give the Knights a good kicking. 
only right and proper if you ask me.
My youngest (2 in 8 weeks) has some wooden Romans we got from Corbridge museum when coming back from holiday in Scotland this year.
