Can you go to the file tell me what the line says? When you have found the file just click edit then go to, and go to line 645 (it'll be the top one). There's probably just a text error, but it could be a bad download, and in that case it'll probably have loads of errors.

Ok, it sounds like you have a missing line of text, unfortunately I don't have Roma Surrectum installed right now, so i'm not sure what should be there, but you'll probably get a reply on the other forum that you have posted on.

IT WORKED! except for the imperial campaign wont wor, and I get a bunch of old faction symbols on the battle screen (on the right of the bar thing on the bottom, and marcus's head just shrunk.

hm. You ran the full installer? when the new_UI.bat ran, did you press "yes" to all, and let it finish on it's own?
When I first played RS, i ran the UI but thought it was done when it was packing the files, and exited. I had the same problem.
If all else fails, go to twcenter.net, register like you did here, then go to forums, Rome Total War Hosted Modifications, then down almost to the bottom will be a forum for Roma Surrectum. Ask DVK 901 or SquidSK about it in the technical help forum.

Did you run New_UI.bat all the way through? hm. If I was you I'd go to teh link up there for the RS Tech forum and skim through. You may come up with something that will help you.
EDIT: You do have RTW 1.5 right? If it's not 1.5 it won't work. Make sure your RTW version is 1.5.
