According to the book "Die Franken Wegbereiter Europas" this helmet was found in the
grave of a noble warrior in Krefreld Gellep. Together with the helmet a coin was found, a
copy of a soildus of Anastasius I. (491-518).

There is much more to know.
Together with the helmet a sword was found, (ein Ringknaufschwert), the harness of horse decorated with gold, silver and almandinen (?) and a saddle again decorated with almandinen. And even a jug with the inspription
ARPVAR ERAT ELEX VNDIQUE PRE (Arpvar was lucky and everywhere in high estimate).
The owner Arpvar was a noble close to Chlodwig, founder of the frankish empire.

Ok first at all you must go to Krefeld!
The biggest roman Graveyard which is researched in Germany!
Reenactors from roman to migration period would find anything they wish there!
