Our group Angers Väringar (angermannaordens vendelperiod Subgroup) is planing to host a gathering for all 5th-11th C reenactors out there at Gene Fornby one weekend (at this stage in planing 11-12 of july) 2008.
The plan is to hold a gathering of chieftains and have a fiest. We also want to reenact a battle in the early 7th century that decided the power balance between Mellannorrland and Vendel.
This is of course just a way to get a event and a market together so we can admire one others kits and talk about past days over many jugs of beer into the morning.
We also want to get in contact with all interested merchants and craftsmen.
If anybody is interested in getting together just send me a PM!
