Smile Awesome kit! Laud!

Middle Ages is another historical passion of mine. I find the role of Hospitallers (in Crusades) particularly interesting.

Great impression.

Excellent.

Laudes off me too.

Just purely out of curiosity and nothing else, why Hospitaller rather than Templar or Teutonic even ?

it was just fun to do. i used the statute of 1206 to base the kit around. A friend of mine wanted to make a kit for it so I made one as well. besides, don't templars have to shave?

Cool kit, Chuck.

Great period choice too.

I may choose that same period but I'd be a Reconquistador. Big Grin

Although, I must say, there is no such thing that beats the sexiness of a man in a Lorica Segmentata.

Nope, the rule stated that they had to be UN-shaven.

Great looking set up!! I would have hate to worn all that black over the armor and go tromping through the desert, I guess they hadnt realized that dark absorbs heat and light colors reflect it. All the best, Jon

Apparently, it creats a thermal updraft effect, which aids in cooling...so the theory goes!

my father has a own room in our house to store his medieval re-enactment stuff...armor and weapons to equip a dozen men...furthermore dozens of surcoats (templar, deutscher orden, lazarus orden...) and several shields he made himself...

gotta make a pic dressed as a mighty templar... Big Grin
