Quote:The Prince was pulled from combat duty, once the media had made a big issue of his being on the front line, and what base he was in, etc. I swear I remember when the media was more responsible, and didn't print things that endangered people's lives.

I wish there were something that could be done to get the news people just to report news, not aim for political ends. I suppose it was no different in Julius Caesar's day, though, except that the government had a lot more effective ways to deal with negative press reports.

Yeah, but I half wonder if that information wasn't leaked in order to create a reason to bring him home early...imagine a worrisome queen who didn't want her grandson in a war who has a lot of pull, but when it comes to something like this maybe something a bit more official was needed to get him to come home.

It was already in the news in Australia in January and nobody took a blind bit of notice. Then that American web rag decided to blow the whistle. he's been quite frank that he doesn't even like being in England ("the weather's crap"), and feels like a normal person in Afghanistan.

Personally, I think they should cobble together footage of him landing in England but keep him out there to finish his tour. Do it twice, so to speak.

As for the Queen wanting him home, it just doesn't work like that Matt. Besides, her son was a heroic chopper pilot in the Falklands, so it's nothing really new.

Nono, I´d rather be vegetarian. The Nork sausage by the way.. is, hm, even more dodgy. Smile lol:

Thinking twice: The Nork pie as well.

I have no idea what scratchings are.
