The Prince was pulled from combat duty, once the media had made a big issue of his being on the front line, and what base he was in, etc. I swear I remember when the media was more responsible, and didn't print things that endangered people's lives.

I wish there were something that could be done to get the news people just to report news, not aim for political ends. I suppose it was no different in Julius Caesar's day, though, except that the government had a lot more effective ways to deal with negative press reports.
