Yes your right, Iwas looking at it again and saw that!
Also saw your photo of your own, looks OK?

can the top be straightened at all, or is it that much out? (other topic, sorry)

As mentioned in that other topic the top edge was at an angle. You could remove a part of the top section of the mask to make it straight. I only don't know if I would do that, yet, as I don't think I will ever wear this mask. For display purpose, inside a helmet, as on that pic, it's okay, and I can only ruin that piece when re-cutting it unnecessary.

Too short for Peronis? Probably fit me perfectly then? Tongue wink: Does it go with the Egyptian helmet Smile

"The Kaiser knows the Munsters,
by the Shamrock on their caps,
And the famous Bengal Tiger, ever ready for a scrap,
And all his big battalions, Prussian Guards and grenadiers,
Fear to face the flashing bayonets of the Munster Fusiliers."

Why?

It's been ironed twice. It's heavy linen. It did shrink a little on the first wash but I wanted a shorter one as all the bunched-up fabric on my old one got in the way!

Great tunic- like the griffins! And on the length, looking at the contemporary illustration (from where I nicked my present avatar) , looks about right to me!

Good point, but the guy in your image has sclearly tucked part of the tunic under his belt, as we're told by Graham he should! Tunics should be knee length or just above? Mine's too short, anyway.

....what a breathtaking overall impression, Adrian! Confusedhock: Although the tunic is surely the star of the show, the rest of the gear, all magnificent, should not be overlooked either.... Big Grin Well done !!!
