So, what do you like better Gibson Les Paul or Fender Stratocaster

I don't play guitar at all, though I do play a bagpipe chanter occasionally and my dad sort of plays banjo (occasionally). Give me a real set of pipes, and me and Pop will come to you, throw in you and your guitar and make some music to remember After a few beers, that is.

Gibson Les Paul. You can make a Les Paul sound like a Stratocaster, but a Strat can't "mellow" up to a Les Paul... The right tool for the job and all that, but if I can only have one guitar - a Les Paul for me.

OK. I'll give you SRV. But you have to admit he tweaked ALL his Strats with string swap-outs, custom humbuckers (shades of LP), and idiosyncratic amp settings. His Strats were not standard issue items, for sure.

100% Les Paul for certain! I've had four!

I've had Strats, and always changed the pickups for Seymour Duncan stacked humbuckers!

Super strats types are much more my style, Ibanez, Jackson that kind of thing with locking trem and nut.

I've played since I was 14-15. Strats and fender and marshall amps.

Wouldn't mind a Les Paul for the other side of the spectrum tho.... 8)
