Here is the update of the kinives that we as a group are making. The handles are either bone or wood. The wood types are maple and oak. All the handles have been oiled with walnut oil. All that I need to do is clean up the metal and they are ready to use. Big Grin

Being a professionally trained chef the Roman knives are very similiar to the modern versions that are used every day. Example the knive on the left can be used as a paring knive and has the feel of it. The next two over can be used for carving, the fourth from the left can be used for boning of meat, birds, pork, etc. The two long straight knives are what we use today called a chefs knive or used as a gerenal use knive. The last two are good for chopping herbs or anything that needs to be chopped. I can't wait until my next event to use these and test them in the field! Big Grin

I hope to have pictures as well of me using the knives with actually food items! Big Grin
