Leathering my scabbard.
#1
Hey everyone, I am soon going to be leathering my scabard, but I'm a little confused how to do it properly. I will post a picture of my leather and thread, string, strong stuff. It is white, but I'll die it. So if there are any tips, maybe soaking the leather or something, I'd like to find out! Plus, cutting it so there won't be any creases at the tip will be hard... :? In some areas the leather is a tight fit, in others, generous. I just the leather straight, just must have been stretched, and when cut left an uneven cut. It's not terrible :-x I know the leather and the wood seems odd, but it'll look good hopefully when the brass accents are on! I will try to clean up the brass as much as possible...but...hey, the ancients probably couldn't have everything perfect either...it's more authentic to not be perfect! Thanks in advance Smile
