British Half-Legion+Alae Camps
#1
In Spaul's Ala2 (and referencing earlier studies); there is a good argument for a standardised 'brigading' of each Legion with 2 Ala.

As a good aside to this evidence, Spaul alludes to some early British Invasion camps that seemed to be constructed to house half-a-legion and one Alae.

Can anyone point me at any of the evidence? Is it simply a 'size thing' (no jokes please! ). Perhaps I should just say 'measured area' of the camp (which I assume are only temporary)?

Just a little tiny bump to see if anyone can point me in the right direction?
