Damascus Steel During the Roman Era
#1
I picked up a copy of the latest Minerva Magazine tonight-- it has an article on Damascus steel blades. According to the article, a Damascus blade has been unearthed in the near east that can firmly be dated to the 3rd or 4th century AD and was apparently used by a Sarmatian horseman. Anyone know anything about this?

Edited by: JuliusCaesr at: 9/29/02 8:30:25 pm
