Ben Hur movie clip needed
#16
Thanks Jasper

Looking at the very old version of Ben-Hur, which used full size ships not models, I was impressed by how they looked like WW1 era Dreadnoughts sailing in line. I guess that was the wrong impression?

I hope the pictures were of some use after all.

Quote:...you get sillyness like Ben Hur.
Is it because of its historical inaccuracies that you "detest" the movie (and, perhaps the book as well)? Just curious, since there are some other unique elements of the film.

Hi Robert,
It's just the historical inaccuracies in the naval scenes, that's all.

I simply didn't think about renting it. Hmmm...
Disecting what is wrong with the naval scenes in BH could be a nice lecture subject sometime, I suppose. You landlubbers do it all the time for every movie battle anyways.
