Well, many items were tinned, including hamatae, and after a while wearing it my understanding is that the two (galvanized and tinned) will be indistinguishable.

I prefer natural steel, as I am shown wearing, :wink: , but I don't have a problem with others making that choice. I think that Alex asked Peronis about it and was told he was OK either way.

Here you can see one of the reasons why. Two of our milites guarding our new transport. This really cut down on the amount of marching we had to do.
