Aircraft illustration
#1
Hello
I am an illustrator of mostly historical subjects and here is my first venture into aviation
http://community.imaginefx.com/fxpose/j ... 44125.aspx
It depicts a commemorative painting applied to an A-7P signalling the 64000 hours of flight and 18 years of the model in the Portuguese air force.
More illustrations of aircraft will follow and also of other war machines (both modern and ancients).
Best regards

Fabulous !

One of my favorite aircraft - a few of my aviation buff friends and I went to a local bar called the Aero Club - it is just up the street from the former General Dynamics plant here in San Diego - which has a great mural painted in the mid 1960s depicting all sorts of military aircraft.

This was on the day the US navy decommissioned the last one. A sad day.

Hello
Many thanks on your comments and support.
I am planning a series of other aircraft (and other machines of war - tanks, etc) for the near future.
I will do not only profile illustrations (like this one) but action ones (with aircraft involved in combat).
Thanks
Best regards

Yes, one of my favorites too. i wish i had seen one fly for real!

Mind you, possibly was one of the planes we watched landing in Bangkok or hong kong during vietnam war! Kept us entertained waiting for the connecting flight! But I think not!

As an aviation buff and fan of the LTV A-7 Corsair II, AWESOME Big Grin Any chance you will be doing an A-4 Skyhawk? Its my favorite jet aircraft before the F-15 arrived on the scene.

Hello
Many thanks on your comments and suggestions.
I am planning to do all those suggested... but not for now.
I am currently doing other type of illustrations (for contracts), but as soon as possible I will do other aircraft illustrations.
Skyhawks, thuds and WWI (and even F-15) are all on my wish list of aircraft to illustrate.
Best regards
